Ziyanda Kenya

Ziyanda Kenya (she/her) is a digital communications manager. She attended the University of Cape Town and then went on to specialize in digital communications at Vega School of Branding and Design. She co-founded a nonprofit organization called Inkulufreeheid focused on democratic education for young South Africans in 2013. In 2015 she was awarded The American Embassy Change Makers grant and executed a youth development program centered around drama, film making and writing for underprivileged children. She continues to work in the democratic education and participation space with New York based organizations that focus on racial and gender equity. Ziyanda is a South African transplant but now considers New York home.
