William Wildman

William Wildman was born and raised in rural south Mississippi. He graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs & French and a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration. William currently serves as the Assistant Director of Admission at Tulane University's School of Architecture. He is also a Juris Doctor and Master of Laws Candidate at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law with plans to graduate in 2023 and begin a career in healthcare law and administration.

Beginning his career in community engagement within the tech industry, William has long been interested in the ways by which exposure to human interconnectedness can lead to increased understanding of varied life experiences. After a year in Denver, CO, he returned to Mississippi to begin working in higher education and to begin his graduate studies in education administration. Inspired by the long line of educators in his family, William sought out to find his own role in joining forces with others throughout the South to promote educational equity and eliminate barriers to higher education.

Working for his alma mater in rural central Mississippi, the educational disparities within the most rural communities were vividly apparent, especially when it came to unlocking a path to higher education. William soon began working with non-profit organizations in Mississippi to provide ACT, SAT, and FAFSA tutoring and seminars to these rural communities. Upon completion of his master’s degree from the University of Mississippi, William moved to New Orleans, LA, to continue the same work at Tulane University’s School of Architecture. William currently engages school and campus-wide task forces and committees on racial equity in higher education and is committed to ensuring that all institutions of higher education are equitable both in recruitment and retention of students—especially students of color.

Now beginning his legal education, William hopes to join forces with those working to expand pathways to healthcare, education, and other basic human rights both in the South and beyond. He remains committed to working with organizations to find equitable solutions for the populations they serve.
