Walter Jean-Jacques - 2025 NLC New Jersey Fellow

Walter Anthony Jean-Jacques, Esq. (he/him) is a nonprofit leader and racial justice advocate dedicated to addressing racial inequities through law and policy. He is the Assistant General Counsel at the National Urban League.

Walter holds a BA in African American Studies with Honors and Political Science from Columbia College, Columbia University, where he earned the Leonard A. Pullman Memorial Prize. He also has an MS in Social Policy from the University of Pennsylvania and a JD from the University of Notre Dame Law School, where he received the David T. Link Award for public service and the Alvin McKenna Alumnus of the Year Award from the Black Law Students Association. Walter is originally from Irvington, NJ, and lives in Ewing, NJ with his wife.
