Taneisha Primus

Taneisha Primus currently serves as an Affiliate Coordinator for the Susan G. Komen Louisiana organization. She oversees the daily operations of the Shreveport office. In this role, she handles community outreach, event organization, fundraising and development for the North Louisiana area. Her job also consists of managing the marketing and communications for the Louisiana affiliate’s 56 parish service area. A graduate of Louisiana State University Shreveport (Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Marketing) in 2012, she went to work for a marketing firm in Houston, Texas and then later accepted a position as a Graduate Admissions Coordinator for Houston Baptist University. After five years of living in Houston, Texas, she returned to Shreveport to begin her career in the non-profit sector to help eliminate disparities, help provide access to resources, and achieve health equity in the rural areas of North Louisiana. Taneisha is the co-owner of a transportation company, operating as a third-party intermediary for B2B consumers. Serving as a co-owner of a woman and minority owned business, the company’s goal is to scale the business in order to provide more job opportunities to minorities and help diversify the transportation industry. Taneisha also completed a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University in Shreveport in 2016. She continues to advocate for the equity of minorities and the ability for them to access to resources across all industries.
