Suchir Govindarajan
Suchir Govindarajan - 2024 NLC New Jersey Fellow
Suchir Govindarajan is an advocate for students and serves the New Jersey higher education community. He currently works as the Special Assistant to the Secretary and Policy Analyst at the New Jersey Office of the Secretary of Higher Education. Suchir’s responsibilities include advancing college affordability and basic needs policy initiatives, strategic planning for the agency budget, and managing special project on behalf of the Secretary of Higher Education. He earned his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) in 2021 with minors in Public Health and Russian Studies.
At TCNJ, Suchir served as Student Government President, leading student advocacy efforts and institutional response planning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Suchir lives in Bridgewater, NJ, and enjoys singing and painting from time to time. He looks forward to amplifying his ability to effectively serve New Jersey students and his community.
