Sophia Geringswald
Sophia Geringswald - 2024 NLC New York City Fellow
Sophia Geringswald (she/her) is a lifelong New Yorker passionate about making meaningful change. Sophia advocates for improvements to our governance system on the local, state, and federal levels in her position at Millennial Strategies. Her primary professional areas of focus are cannabis, abortion rights, and sustainability.
Before working in government relations and lobbying, Sophia was heavily involved in student voter engagement and electoral politics. She helped register thousands of students to vote as an Andrew Goodman Foundation Ambassador and contributed to numerous campaigns both as a volunteer and as a consultant. After graduating summa cum laude with a degree in Political Science from Binghamton University, Sophia received the 2020 Nelson G. Feliz Memorial Award. Furthering her education, she also earned a master's degree in Public Administration with a Nonprofit Management certificate.
Outside of professional life, Sophia enjoys spending time outdoors, making new recipes, and exploring New York City.
