Sofia Abdi

Sofia Abdi, raised in Roxbury, Massachusetts, is a passionate community advocate for immigration and housing justice. She holds degrees in Political Science and Psychology from Northeastern University and Cambridge College. Currently, Sofia serves as Community Engagement Manager and Immigration Liaison for Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, connecting constituents to resources and advocating for marginalized communities.

As President of the Muslim Americans in Public Service (MAPS) Massachusetts chapter, Sofia is committed to empowering Muslim American public servants. She values MAPS' mission to create an ecosystem where Muslim Americans can thrive both personally and professionally, reflecting her dedication to inclusive leadership and equitable representation.
