Skye Norquist – Montana

Skye Norquist is a homegrown Montana native who spent her childhood years playing along the banks of the sweet grass creek. She is currently growing roots in beautiful Bozeman with her husband and 4 pets.

Skye was lucky enough to get the opportunity to go to a dog grooming academy shortly after she graduated high school and spent several years running her own dog grooming business in the Gallatin Valley. She got a part time job at the Bozeman Community Food Co-op and fell in love with the culture and vision of the co-op. She closed shop at her grooming business and spent the next 10 years working as a cook, lead, assistant manager and finally the manager of various departments for the co-op. Most recently she has changed careers and now manages an edibles production kitchen for a local cannabis dispensary.

Skye comes from a humble small town background and has seen what poverty can do to small communities. She believes every person has the right to not just survive in life, but thrive in life. Through community outreach and government programs she believes we can help make sure all of our neighbors are given that opportunity. She is also passionate about reforming our country's medical system so our community members don't have to choose between medical bills or putting food on the table. She wants to help create communities where we build each other up instead of stepping on each other to survive.
