Sherin Dawud
CEO/Founder, Nura Co. & Power Pump Girls
Sherin Dawud is the Co-Founder of a social impact organization Power Pump Girls and the CEO of Nura Co. Along with her Co-Founder Raina, she focuses on social impact strategy and community outreach. Sherin has organized and advocated for women's rights through legislation across the State of Louisiana while also building a growing volunteer database and developing corporate partnerships that believe in serving the underserved. Power Pump Girls rally, educate, and mobilize women behind social issues such as civic rights, period poverty, social injustices while also focusing on rapid response giveback opportunities like hurricane relief, covid supplies, and blood drives. As the CEO of Nura Co., an experiential marketing lab providing storytelling strategies, Sherin heavily focuses on strategic creative campaigns, project management, and account management. At heart, she is a creative with access to her strategic thinking. This has allowed her to find a way to get out of the box with how she can make an impact on individuals and businesses. Sherin was born in Shreveport, Louisiana but is rooted in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is the oldest of five and comes from a pretty diverse home. Her mother is from a small town in Georgia and her father is from a well-known city in the Middle East. This has always given her the ability to see life from two different lenses. A local view and a world view. This has provided Sherin with an added layer of understanding and the ability to always pause and take in how someone else sees the world.
