Sevyn Winshel - 2025 NLC Washington DC Fellow
Sevyn Winshel (they/them) designs and manages programs that advance queer rights and support young people of color. They currently work at Education Leaders of Color, supporting students' academic and economic advancement. They also serve as co-founder and president of Q+ Collective, a consultancy built by and for the queer community.
Ahead of the 2024 election, Sevyn trained election administrators on potential Election Day threats with Public Rights Project and has managed educational equity programs at the Campaign for Our Shared Future. They have contributed to campaigns for Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, and Joe Biden.
Sevyn holds a BA in political philosophy from Wellesley College. They live in Adams Morgan, DC, where they spend time baking, teaching yoga, and playing with their pups, Obie and Juno.
