Santiago Hernandez - 2025 NLC San Antonio Fellow

Santiago Hernandez is a San Antonio native and proud product of the West Side, an area he hopes to serve on City Council someday. He currently works for the Office of Councilwoman Marina Alderete Gavito. He earned his degree in Political Science and International Relations from Wheaton College, where he served on several boards and commissions, as Class President, and as Vice President of the Latin Student Union. Santiago is also a published film photographer. Having worked on political campaigns and volunteered with community organizations in Chicago and San Antonio, he received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award from the Obama Administration. Santiago remains committed to his community and aspires to use his experience and passion to create meaningful change through political leadership.
