Sam Halpern - 2025 NLC Atlanta Fellow
Sam Halpern works for the Southeastern office of American Jewish Committee (AJC), the nonpartisan global advocacy organization for the Jewish people. In his role as Senior Associate, Advocacy & Programming, Sam is responsible for government affairs across the Southeast and for supporting intergroup relations in metro Atlanta. Sam previously served in a role focused on Black/Jewish relations and local politics, and, in college, as an intern for AJC's office in Washington, D.C. His favorite moments at AJC have included taking Black and Jewish teens to Selma and seeing the Oberammergau Passion Play as part of a trip on German-Jewish relations. A native Atlantan, Sam graduated from Dickinson College. Outside of work he enjoys hiking, reading, cooking, keeping track of current events, and supporting ALS research.
