Rebecca Lozoya - 2024 NLC South TX Frontera Fellow

Rebecca Lozoya (she/her) is a Rio Grande Valley native from Mission, Texas. She is a first-generation college graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and a Master’s degree in Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences from the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health in Brownsville. Rebecca is committed to addressing health disparities in the Rio Grande Valley to support her community on their journey to better health. As a Research Coordinator, she utilizes her experience to bridge research to community practice. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys taking dance classes and going on runs. She looks forward to learning how she can better serve her community.
