Nyia Slade

Nyia Slade, a Detroit native, is a first-generation college graduate and passionate advocate for education. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Grand Valley State University, where she developed a deep commitment to promoting educational access and success. Currently, Nyia is pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree at Grand Canyon University, furthering her expertise in leadership and education. Her work centers on empowering students and fostering opportunities for academic achievement, especially for underserved communities. Nyia’s dedication to education is rooted in her own journey and her desire to create meaningful pathways for future generations. She brings a unique perspective to her work, combining personal experience with professional knowledge to inspire and support others.
