Nathalie Guillen - 2024 NLC San Francisco Fellow

Nathalie Guillen is the newest Staff Assistant at Senator Alex Padilla's San Francisco Office. She was born and raised in SF, growing up in a single-parent household headed by her immigrant mother in the public housing developments on Treasure Island. Her passion for social justice stems from an early exposure to organizing spaces. She was a Policy Intern for District 9 Supervisor Hillary Ronen, through her office Nathalie became even more involved with projects and legislation that promote economic and racial equity. She has also interned for the California Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development on the Community Based Solutions team, organizing a Placemaking Districts Convening aimed at creating a more direct path between cultural and community organizations, small businesses, city and county governments and the State. She graduated from UC Berkeley in May 2023 with a bachelor's degree in Legal Studies and a minor in Public Policy.
