Natalie Asitimbay

Natalie Asitimbay (she/her) joins NLC as a 2024 Fellow. Natalie currently works as a Press Assistant in the Press Office of Governor Kathy Hochul. Previously, she served as a Communications and Digital Media Fellow for U.S. Senator Ed Markey, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the Senator's digital presence and communications strategy. Natalie earned a B.A. in Biology and Political Science from Boston University. During her time at Boston University, Natalie's passion for the environment led her to the Segrè lab, where she conducted research exploring the intricate relationship between microbiology and the effects of climate change.

Beyond her academic pursuits, Natalie worked with the Association of State Democratic Committees within the Democratic National Committee.
