McKenzie Templeton - 2025 NLC Boston Fellow

McKenzie Templeton (she/her) currently works with the Massachusetts Law Reform Institute as an AmeriCorps housing legal advocate. Prior to this, she obtained a Gender, Leadership and Public Policy graduate certificate from the University of Massachusetts. Before moving to Boston, McKenzie worked with survivors of domestic and sexual violence and focused on legal advocacy, crisis intervention, safety planning and community engagement. Originally from Washington State, she graduated from Western Washington University with an individualized bachelor’s degree in Law, Diversity and Justice; International Studies and Advocacy. McKenzie is dedicated to social justice, collective action, dismantling oppressive systems, and hopes to pursue a career in public interest law. In her free time she enjoys cooking and baking, playing card games, and spending time outdoors.
