Mario Vasquez Zuniga is the founder/CEO of collective., a digital communications and design agency which partners with progressive campaigns and mission-driven service organizations. With 8 years experience, Mario is a dynamic bilingual communications strategist. He excels in directing and executing high-stakes public affairs and digital communications campaigns — skillfully leading multifaceted teams to achieve impactful results. He’s collaborated closely with elected officials, influencers and celebrities to drive forward broad-reaching initiatives. His extensive work on public awareness and policy campaigns has equipped Mario with a profound understanding of California's political landscape, fostering comprehensive communications expertise that spans corporate, nonprofit and advocacy sectors.

Mario is a first-generation immigrant based in Sacramento. He earned his BA in Communications, and Race and Resistance Studies from San Francisco State University. Recognized as a Next Generation LGBTQ Leader, Mario was also named a Rising Star by Capitol Weekly. He serves on the LGBTQ+ Victory Campaign Board.
