Madeline Hren (she/her) is a youth development and community engagement professional who works to ensure all young people can create the life they choose. As Scholar Recruitment Coordinator for Generation Hope, she works with teen parents throughout the DMV to connect them to scholarships and wraparound support programming as they pursue college degrees. Madeline graduated magna cum laude from Boston University in 2018 with degrees in Sociology and International Relations, with an emphasis on Women, Gender, and Sexuality studies. While serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Guatemala, she became passionate about asset-based community development, and has devoted her career to strengthening the resources in her local community through organizing and outreach work.
An extreme extrovert, she spends most of her free time with her friends seeing live theatre, planning an annual murder mystery party, and taking an inordinate amount of Zumba classes.
