Liz González (she/her) is a second-generation Latina, with a deep-rooted passion for health equity and social justice. Raised in Pembroke Pines, Liz relocated to Tallahassee in 2012 to pursue her education at Florida State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2016. She continued her education at Florida A&M University, earning her Master of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology and Biostatistics in April 2021. Liz has worked with the Florida Department of Health since early 2017, where she currently serves as the statewide Strategic Marketing Communications Manager for an early-intervention program. She has also volunteered with Planned Parenthood’s Tallahassee Leadership Action Team (LAT), advocating for reproductive justice and healthcare access. In her free time, Liz is usually spending time with her pups Bella and Scooby or tending to her many plants.
