Lauren Rodriguez - 2025 NLC San Antonio Fellow
Lauren Rodriguez’s passion for culture & language began at age twelve, teaching herself through online resources. In high school, she studied French, and explored Russian and Korean in college. Her academic background is World History and languages.
Lauren has championed equity and inclusivity. As Program Coordinator for the YWCA San Antonio’s Racial Justice and Gender Equity Institute, she created training curricula to promote marginalized voices. Now, as the Education Specialist for Catholic Charities’ Refugee Youth Mentoring Program, she supports refugee youth through tutoring, advising, college application assistance, and vocational/GED guidance.
She represented Texas at the 68th United Nations Commission on the Status of Women and was one of over 60 English speakers selected globally to visit Gwangju, South Korea strengthening San Antonio’s Sister City ties.
