Khalil Davis - 2025 NLC Detroit Fellow

Khalil Davis (he/him) is an urban planner with a focus on community-driven revitalization. He currently serves as Project and Grants Associate at the Regional Transit Authority of Southeast Michigan, where he leads the Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan (CHSTP) update, aiming to improve transit access for seniors, people with disabilities, and low-income individuals. Khalil is finishing his Master of Science in Urban Planning with a concentration in Economic Development at Wayne State University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from Michigan State University. Born and raised in Detroit, he is deeply motivated by the city’s disinvestment and its impact on community health and well-being. Khalil is committed to advancing equitable urban planning and sustainable development in underserved communities.
