Justine Jackson - 2025 NLC Tulsa Fellow
Justine Jackson (she/her) is a first-generation Jamaican from Queens, NY, now building community in Tulsa, OK. A former high school math teacher in NYC for 9 years, Justine transitioned to become a math curriculum developer at Amplify Education, where she is committed to ensuring Black and Brown students see themselves in the math they are learning. Through Tulsa Blacktivities, a company she founded, Justine curates events celebrating Black culture and fostering connections between Black transplants and local residents. She also founded Travel Blackly, organizing trips to African and Afro-indigenous communities worldwide.
As a Tulsa Remote member and mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters OK, Justine is passionate about empowering others, creating spaces that inspire connection, and values the support of those who share her vision.
