Juan Alvarez

Juan Jose Alvarez is an immigrant and business manager helping run his family businesses. Juan attended CUNY City College for 2 years before focusing on helping run the family business. In his spare time Juan is a amateur runner who uses the medium to connect with community and speak on social issues and help drive social change through helping in local elections or using his platform to inform others. Through that work Juan also likes to volunteer and help deliver groceries to communities in need.

Through this program Juan hopes to strengthen his leadership skills and acquire the tools and connection that will help him reach and inspire his community to be more engaged in their community and in social and political change. With community and not capitalism at the focus.
