Joshua Garcia

Originally, from Corpus Christi, Joshua Garcia arrived in San Antonio to work on a local campaign and made the Alamo City his home! Shortly after graduating from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with a bachelor's degree in political science, Joshua started working with Bexar County. He is currently finishing his master's degree in political science, working on a thesis on racial messaging and its effects on electability at the University of Texas-San Antonio.

As a self-proclaimed political baddie, his commitment to growing political capital for marginalized communities and electing REAL community-centered representatives extends beyond the classroom. He currently serves on the Texas Democratic Party’s Executive Committee and the Executive Committee of the Bexar County Young Democrats. When he is not fighting for change, Joshua enjoys spending time with family & friends and taking his niece and nephew to bookstores to help grow their love for literacy and learning.
