Jorge Jimenez
Jorge Jimenez - 2024 NLC Washington DC Fellow
Jorge Jimenez is a researcher at the Aspen Institute, where he leads research on digital equity. He has worked in fields as diverse as politics, urban planning, and entrepreneurship.
Jorge has led projects on transportation equity, stakeholder engagement, and equitable procurement. Adding to his focus on urban policy, he also worked with the New York City Housing Authority conduct a cost-benefit analysis of the social benefits of public spaces. Jorge also worked at Columbia University’s Earth Institute, where he conducted a regression analysis of sustainability education inequalities in New York City schools.
Jorge gained experience in community outreach and stakeholder management as an Organizer in the Latino community of Central Florida, working towards increasing political capital in underrepresented migrant communities. Jorge holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and a Bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Central Florida.
