Jazz Broughton

Jazz Broughton, born and raised in Oakland, California, has cultivated a profound commitment to human rights and education equity. As a dedicated College Access Program Manager at Oakland Promise, a 501c3 organization, Jazz directs a program serving students and families across Oakland public middle schools. Through this work they promote financial literacy, college affordability, and identity building.

When Jazz is not working at a school-site, you can find her in the studio working on music and other passions. With two songs out on all platforms, Jazz maintains a powerful relationship between art and activism. Meditation, writing, and spending time in nature are key components to her happy place and what keeps her thriving. Jazz is community centered and goal oriented.
