Jamil Hamilton - 2024 NLC Los Angeles Fellow
Jamil Hamilton(he/him) is a South Central native with a passion for policy, organizing, and advocacy. Jamil’s experience growing up in South Central LA has motivated him to focus his career on building and implementing people-powered solutions that uplift and empower oppressed communities. Since graduating from Georgetown University with a BA in Government, Jamil has had the opportunity to sharpen his campaign and advocacy skills by working with labor unions and nonprofit organizations across the country. Currently, Jamil is working to reduce mass incarceration and support individuals impacted by our criminal justice at FWD.us, where he serves as the Senior Associate for Outreach and Engagement.
Jamil is dog dad to a three year old beagle, (named Roscoe, after Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles) and according to his screen time notifications, spends way too much time on TikTok.
