Information Systems Manager, The Aspen Institute
James Euless Derousselle is the Information Systems Manager at the Aspen Institute supporting the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE). In this role, James supplies technology-related vision and leadership for the development and implementation of Information Technology (IT) initiatives that help the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) run efficiently while supporting its leadership in the international development community. Additionally, James is responsible for aligning the IT strategy and supporting policies with the program’s business strategy. Previously James served as the Senior Operations Manager at The Black Mental Health Alliance for Education & Consultation, Inc. Serving as a member of the senior executive team where he led the organization in operational capacity building, developed process and infrastructure and aided BMHA in advancing the mission and vision through technology research. nBefore joining BMHA, James was employed as the Application Support Associate with the Society for Neuroscience, a Washington DC-based professional membership association. In this role, James developed his passion for technology and skill as a project manager as a dedicated member of the Technology Services division. While at SfN, James became the subject matter expert for their customer relationship management system and a technical resource in technology innovation aiding staff in the areas of reporting best practices, data visualization, and continuous process improvement. James has created innovative communications and branding plans for nonprofit and small businesses, streamlined processes for large organizations, and managed technology implementations among other operations leadership and capacity building activities. nJames is a proven nonprofit leader helping organizations of various size and scope. James is currently pursuing a Master of Information System and holds a Master of Public Administration from Texas Southern University in Houston, TX and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Memphis in Memphis, TN James enjoys weightlifting, going to the movies, and is always looking for a good podcast. He is an active member of several community organizations focused on poverty alleviation, housing insecurity, and social justice.
