Isaac MacDonald
Director of Impact & Planning, Senior Advisor, trepwise llc
Isaac MacDonald is a Senior Advisor and the Director of Planning & Impact at trepwise, a mission-focused consulting firm. In his role he oversees firm data analysis and strategy and provides consulting support to clients in New Orleans and beyond. Many of the projects Isaac focuses on involve systems-level planning— identifying how networks of organizations and institutions can be more responsive to community needs and deliver better outcomes, most recently in the areas of food security and youth development. Other past projects have included planning for the Greater New Orleans Foundation and helping a local fan-favorite Blue Oak BBQ open their current location. Isaac has previously worked at an urban forestry nonprofit in his hometown of Washington D.C., and is one of the founding members of the Sunrise Movement hub in New Orleans, a youth-led movement to stop climate change and create millions of good jobs. Isaac graduated with a B.A in Urban Studies from Brown University in 2015, which culminated in a thesis on participatory planning, transportation and violence reduction in Medellin, Colombia. Isaac has Venture for America to thank for taking him to New Orleans— the best city in the world — where he can be found kayaking, disc golfing and generally soaking it all in.
