Ibrahima Sow - 2025 NLC Columbus Fellow

Ibrahima Sow serves as Executive Director of the Ohio New African Immigrants Commission, a state agency that supports the self-sufficiency of Ohio’s more than 104,000 African immigrants in 88 counties.

Previously, Ibrahima was a network Director for United Way of Central Ohio’s Success by Third Grade initiative. He also led the Emerging New American Community Team (ENACT), a $500,000 refugee leadership program with Ohio History Connection and the Institute for Museum & Library Services.

A dual degree alumnus of Ohio State University and an MBA graduate from Ashland University, Sow is pursuing a doctorate in education focusing on organizational leadership at Franklin University.

Ibrahima lives in Central Ohio with his wife, Aysha, their twin preschoolers, Babacar Jameel and Moammar Hakeem, and newborn Hawa Aaliyah.
