Ian James - 2024 NLC San Francisco Fellow

Ian James (he/him) is a community organizer focused on growing political engagement in local and statewide politics of people with lived experience of homelessness and criminalization. In his current role at GLIDE’s Center for Social Justice, he works to expand GLIDE’s base of leaders and policy advocates. Ian attended Tufts University and graduated in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and International Relations. Ian lives in San Francisco, CA where he enjoys exploring the city’s street fairs and restaurants. He has spent the last five years working in San Francisco politics either on electoral campaigns or at non-profits. He believes that nothing ends homelessness like a home.
