Guerds Jean

Guerds Jean is education policy advisor as well as the co-founder of JEANie Couture, an online clothing store which derived from the brand that she shares with her twin sister, The Jean Twins. With a bachelor's degree in Peace and Social Justice Studies and Spanish from Berea College, Guerds has a passion for serving disadvantaged communities with their education policy, business development, immigration reform, and criminal justice needs. Guerds has developed her public policy, public speaking, translation, communication, and project management skills through roles as a public policy fellow, business paralegal, policy and advocacy summer fellow, and Spanish teacher.

Guerds is fluent in Spanish, Haitian-Creole, and English, and is interested in peacemaking, conflict resolution, and mediation. When Guerds is not thinking of ways to make an impact in her community, she is reading a historical romance fiction novel, enjoying time with her niblings, traveling, or enjoying being a foodie.
