Genesis Castillo

Genesis Castillo is an educator in Dallas, Texas. As a Latina and a first-generation high school and college graduate, she knows the power of education. Genesis is passionate about advocating for equitable opportunities for all children. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and a proud Southern Methodist University alumna, where she obtained her Masters of Education degree. Genesis learned English throughout her educational journey, which influenced her career and passion for working with multilingual students; she now speaks, reads, and writes in three languages fluently.

In her free time, Genesis enjoys jiujitsu with her husband, reading, and trying out new coffee shops. Genesis also loves yoga and volunteering in her community. Genesis lives in Rowlett with her husband Erik and their furry baby, Bruno, the English Bulldog.
