Gabriel Rodriguez

Gabriel Alejandro Rodriguez (He/Him) is an advocate for economic justice. He believes that all issues are exacerbated by class and that all solutions need to have economic disparities in mind. In his current role at Laredo Food Not Bombs, he assists with organizing free meal distributions to downtown Laredo, along with creating community-facing materials such as posters and fundraising events. He is the first in his family to go to college, obtaining his bachelor's and master's degrees in Communication from Texas A&M International University, with his thesis examining biased trends in local newspaper coverage of immigration.

An avid supporter of grassroots community events, he spends his free time photographing local ongoings, especially related to Laredo's budding arts & culture scene. He looks forward to making an impact in a community with a long history of racialized economic disparity.
