Emmanuel Brantley - 2025 NLC Washington DC Fellow

Emmanuel Brantley (he/him) is a legislative and communications professional with experience supporting government officials and political candidates at the local, state, and federal levels. Passionate about economic development and social equity, he aspires to lead initiatives that foster inclusive growth and empower underserved communities. As an Advance Associate at the U.S. Treasury Department, Emmanuel organizes domestic and international diplomatic engagements for Secretary Janet Yellen. He also supported initiatives for Vice President Kamala Harris. Previously, at the Council of the District of Columbia, Emmanuel aided policy efforts across the Housing, Judiciary, Education, and Business and Economic Development Committees. In 2020, the National Council of State Legislatures recognized his contributions. A New Haven, CT native raised in Atlanta, GA, Emmanuel received his bachelor’s degree from Oglethorpe University.
