Emma Bryan - 2025 NLC Kentucky Fellow

Emma Bryan is a public historian, cultural worker, and writer from Central Kentucky. Their work is rooted in relationship & community building, storytelling, and critically studying the cultural history of Kentucky & the Ohio Valley. They work for the Louisville Free Public Library as a Library Assistant and as a bookseller at Carmichael's Bookstore. Emma received their Bachelors' in History & Philosophy from Bellarmine University and their Master's in Public History from the University of Louisville. Emma is a recent graduate of the Kentucky Rural-Urban Exchange and serves as an Advisor on the Kentucky Oral History Commission. You can also find Emma reading a book, somewhere in the woods, crafting, walking their dogs, or on their friend's farm in South Central Kentucky.
