Elisabeth Yucis

Elisabeth Yucis is an Associate Director in the Professional Development and Instructional Issues division at the New Jersey Education Association, where she leads NJEA's work on educator evaluation and serves as the policy liaison to the New Jersey Department of Education and State Board of Education. Prior to joining NJEA staff, she was a high school English teacher for nearly fourteen years. A resident of Collingswood NJ, Elisabeth is active within the Camden County Democrats, most recently as the founding chair of the CCDC's Education Caucus. She has served on County Committee since 2021 and led her team as municipal chair from 2021-23. She loves yoga, meditation, cooking, and spending time with her husband and son.

Elisabeth's leadership vision emphasizes participatory community-building that fosters common ground and invites everyone to bring their lived experiences into conversations that build a better future for all.
