El Wilson - 2024 NLC Boston Fellow
El Wilson (they/them) is a writer and disabled athlete who explores the intersections of environmental justice, disability rights, and food justice. They currently serve as an assistant producer at the public radio show Living on Earth and as a communications manager for the STEM education nonprofit, Math4Science. El graduated from Oberlin College in 2018 with a B.A. in creative writing and psychology. They then received masters in publishing and writing from Emerson College in 2023. Through their role at Living on Earth, El advocates for environmental justice while retaining journalistic integrity. In their spare time, they serve as a facilitator for Cambridge's Harry Potter and the Sacred Text group and play offense for the Boston I.C.E. Storm sled hockey team. The love wheelchairs, diet pop, and befriending people's pets.
