Darartu Doto

Darartu Doto graduated from Pomona College with a degree in Economics. She began her career in media, spending four years in advertising at Meta.

Motivated by a commitment to social impact, Darartu founded Bilisummaa, an organization dedicated to ending period poverty. Through health education and hygiene product distribution, Bilisummaa has transformed lives in Ethiopia and expanded its mission to Minnesota.
Darartu is deeply passionate about holistic health approaches, particularly in addressing chronic illness—an interest shaped by her personal experiences. This passion led her to become a certified yoga teacher and health and wellness coach, integrating mindfulness and movement into her mission of promoting health accessibility.

In her free time, Darartu enjoys reading, taking long walks, and spending quality time with her siblings.
