Danielle Johnson - 2025 NLC Boston Fellow
Danielle Johnson is the Director of the Office of Housing Stability in Boston's Mayor’s Office of Housing, where she leads efforts to prevent homelessness and eviction. Previously, she was the managing attorney of the Elder, Health, and Disability Unit at Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS), working on litigation to prevent elder displacement and secure essential benefits. She also served as a staff attorney in GBLS’s Housing Unit, advocating for tenants facing eviction and addressing systemic housing instability.
Johnson teaches as an adjunct professor at Suffolk University Law School and Northeastern University Law School, focusing on access to justice and negotiations. She co-chairs the Housing Subcommittee of the Massachusetts Access to Justice Commission and serves on the board of the Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys.
