Chris Tavenor
Chris Tavenor - 2024 NLC Columbus Fellow
Chris Tavenor (they/them) is an attorney and advocate for climate justice living on the west side of Columbus. For the past seven years, they have worked for the Ohio Environmental Council, presently serving as Associate General Counsel and Managing Director of Democracy Policy on the OEC's leadership team. Chris has represented the organization before the Ohio Supreme Court, the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, the Ohio Power Siting Board, and beyond. They received a B.A. in Philosophy with a minor in English from the Ohio State University in 2014 and graduated from OSU's Moritz College of Law with a Juris Doctorate in 2017.
Chris also writes science fiction and fantasy, publishing novels as “C.D. Tavenor.” Their most recent project is a climate fiction project titled “The World’s Revolution,” developed in collaboration with fifteen other authors.
