Casey Sabella
Casey Sabella - 2024 NLC New York City Fellow
Casey Sabella (she/her) is an organizer and political operative. She is a passionate advocate for quality public education, environmental justice, and reproductive rights. Originally from Ohio, Casey received her bachelor's in political science from Eastern Michigan University and her master's in communication studies from Ball State University. As a master's student, Casey worked for Upward Bound and taught public speaking, critical thinking, argumentation, advocacy, and information literacy in colleges and high schools.
In addition to her work in the education industry, Casey has created large-scale campaign internship programs in NYC and on Long Island, with the goal being to empower and welcome young people into the political system who may have been overlooked. Casey has been organizing in New York since 2019, working on everything from electoral campaigns to the environmental movement, as well as holding NY3 Congressman George Santos accountable for his lies.
