Blake Tierney
Blake Tierney - 2024 NLC Arkansas Fellow
Blake Tierney is a queer public service professional living in Little Rock, Arkansas. Blake works at the intersection of nonprofit and government to build connections, especially to community members closest to issues and solutions, that transform our public systems toward responsive services and equitable outcomes. People know Blake as a connector, listener, facilitator, and caretaker, whether as the go-to hugs and giggles guy, as an organizer for grassroots community building, or as an advocate in municipal and state politics. Blake enjoys playing games and sports, especially rugby and Dungeons & Dragons. Whether solo or with friends, he moves through artistic, athletic, and nerdy activities with joy, including singing, dancing, watching anime, hiking, and kayaking. Blake received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (summa cum laude) from Hendrix College and a Master of Arts in Public Service (Nonprofit Administration) from Marquette University, where he was a Trinity Fellow.
