Asad Rahim - 2024 NLC San Francisco Fellow

Asad Rahim (he/him) is an educator and racial justice advocate from the South Side of Chicago. He is currently an assistant professor at UC Berkeley School of Law where he teaches civil rights courses. Asad is passionate about reimagining higher education in order to unlock its liberatory potential, particularly for those groups who have been traditionally underserved by the nation's colleges and universities. He received his JD from Harvard Law School, his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley and his bachelor's degree from Babson College, where he won the Roger Babson Award given to the top senior in the graduating class. In his free time, Asad enjoys learning about indigenous spiritual belief systems.
