Arturo Muñoz - 2024 NLC San Francisco Fellow
Arturo Muñoz (he/him), with seven years of experience in advocacy and communications, empowers communities for social change. Despite facing several challenges during his journey, including gang violence and early work in agriculture during his adolescence, Arturo found solace in poetry. His passion for storytelling led him to become a published poet and host of a nationally recognized podcast featuring impactful stories within the Latino community and guiding listeners in creating change.
Currently, Arturo holds a position at the Latino Education Advancement Foundation (LEAF), where he works towards promoting educational equity and equal access to higher education for Latinos in San Jose. Arturo's commitment to developing his leadership skills is an asset that allows him to be a resource to other emerging professionals and leaders seeking opportunities for growth and success.
