Arsene Frederic Jr. - 2024 NLC Washington DC Fellow

Arsene Frederic, Jr., deeply connected to his Florida roots, is a champion of educational equity. He is a research associate with the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Fellowship Project. In 2020, Arsene was recognized as an Equity and Inclusion Fellow by the Association of Public Policy Analysis and Management. His drive for educational transformation is evident by his roles policymaking and leadership, where he has worked to catalyze change.

Driven by a passion for community-driven initiatives, he co-founded Urban Legacy Builders, a community-based organization. Urban Legacy Builders places education at the forefront, understanding that it equips individuals with essential knowledge and skills for economic self-reliance, thereby nurturing independent and robust communities.

He holds a Master of Public Administration with a specialization in Public Financial Management from American University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English, concentrating in Creative Writing, with an Education minor from Florida State University.
