Angel Boose is an associate director in the Communications Division at the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA). Three years prior to joining staff, she worked part-time as a NJEA Communications Consultant.
She was an elementary school teacher in East Orange for 16 years. For five years, she served as vice president and Grievance Committee chair of the East Orange Education Association, and chaired the Essex County Education Association Women in Education Committee.
She worked with NJEA’s Racial Equity, Affirmation, and Literacy (REAL) Movement hosting the NJEA REAL Storytellers podcast and was an associate director of the REAL documentary. She was Northeast Regional Director of the NEA Black Caucus and a facilitator for the NEA Leaders for Just Schools program, training educators to lead education justice work.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Rutgers University and a master’s degree in teaching and learning from Nova Southeastern University.
