Amanda Gallo – Oakland
Amanda Gallo is a lifetime resident of Oakland, California. She attended Oakland public schools and earned a Bachelor of Arts, Legal Studies, from the University of California, Berkeley and received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Santa Clara University. Amanda is very proud of and involved in her Native American and Latina communities. Amanda actively participates in several volunteer activities including community beautification and youth development initiatives. She was an avid soccer player, coach and teacher to Latinx and Native American children. While at UC Berkeley, Amanda led efforts to raise funds to build housing on tribal reservations. Amanda is passionate about equity, social justice, and the empowerment of women of color. She is involved in electoral campaigns as a volunteer and more recently as a campaign manager. Her community involvement has influenced her public sector career path. Amanda joined the City of Fremont, City Manager’s Office in 2018 and leads legislative affairs activities, business operations and procedures, and oversees three departmental budgets. Amanda was recently elected to serve a two-year term as an Assembly District 18 Delegate to the California Democratic Party. Amanda enjoys spending time with family, traveling, cultural activities, and hiking outdoors.
