Alka Singh – Pittsburgh

Alka Singh (she/her) offers strategic guidance to organizations in the areas of community engagement, marketing and communications, and relationship building and serves as Principal and Co-Founder at Modern Mosaic Consulting. She is also Head of Marketing at MonkeyPod--an accounting, donor management, CRM, email marketing, online fundraising system, and more — all in one simple, integrated platform. She is experienced in working with teams in grant-funded programs, higher education, and business. Alka is a skilled connector and believes that equity and transparency are paramount to any organization’s success. At the University of Pittsburgh School of Computing and Information, she designed and implemented student-facing initiatives centered on community development and service-learning through international cultural exchange. She served as Program Manager at Media Star Promotions for fortune 500 clients, creating digital and integrated marketing campaigns that produced new insights and organizational learning about consumer behavior. Most recently, she accepted a position at BNY Mellon in Asset Servicing where she helps clients adopt digital processes. Alka lives in the Mt. Washington neighborhood of Pittsburgh and earned her BA in political science and communication from the University of Pittsburgh and her MBA from Pitt’s Katz Graduate School of Business. Her hobbies include traveling, cooking, and spending time with loved ones. Originally from MD, she has been in Pittsburgh for 16 years and is a passionate advocate for the liberation of all people.
